Made for those who love listening to their favorite tunes while driving, but also have to use their smartphone, Android Auto makes it simple to get started. Simply connect your device into a compatible display, then, after Android Auto detects the app, get started. Once connected, Android Auto turns your smartphone into a second display, allowing you or your passenger to select what to do. This app brings classic Google features, like navigating with Google Maps, like TomTom, as well as the ability to listen to podcasts, music from your playlist, and more. Just connect and get started.
What I truly enjoyed about Android Auto was how large and intuitive the buttons were, as this app truly feels optimized around the driving experience, with a great-looking UI, sleek buttons, and solid controls.
Don’t expect, however, Android Auto to work with every car screen, as you will have to check the manual to see if it works. You’ll also need Android 5.0 or above installed, as this app won’t run on older devices running Jellybean and under.
