The comprehensive WordWeb dictionary database includes:

- 285,000 words, phrases and derived forms

The intelligent word entry suggests possible correct spellings as you type, as well as listing words that sound the same or are often confused.

- Fast pattern-matching search (*, ?, vowel and consonant)

No Internet connection is required to use WordWeb once installed. It requires about 280MB of space on your SD card.

Note: If you don't hear sound check the volume/mute under main Settings, Volume. The Media setting should be up to hear sound from apps.

    Any time I use or download a dictionary, I always first search for non-words that are popular in uneducated use, but still just nonsense. And lo and behold, this so-called dictionary contains the ever stupid and made up word, "addicting". Despite hundreds and thousands of reviewers erroneously using this faux word, it's incorrect and not a word the proper English language. The word you would us

    I was a fan of desktop version. I recommanded it to many of my friends. But this audio edition is crap

    The dictionary w/o audio is great and extremely versatile. I originally bought the desktop version years ago, and although they both use the same sound files, first now I realise how poor the quality of it is

    The new interface is excellent, particularly the tablet one. Since I have multiple devices it's kind of annoying to not have synchronized bookmarks and recent searches.

    The download is big, but the definitions load very quickly. Worth every penny.
