About me Edgar Hernandez:
I was born in Quito, Ecuador. At the age of 21, I came to New York in search of better opportunities. Before I started my career in real estate I got married to my wife Mercedes, the mother of my two most precious gifts of life, Yvonne and Michelle.
My career in Real Estate started in 1975 as a Salesperson for Latino Realty in Queens. In 1979 I was trusted to become the Manager for the office of Latino Realty in Jamaica Hills in Queens, NY. After 7 successful years with Latino Realty, I decided to open my own company in Woodhaven, Queens.
I started my company in May 1983 with my affiliation with Century 21 and Bonus Realty was born! In 1993, after 10 exciting years with Century 21, I decided to convert Bonus Realty and become affiliated with the Re/Max Franchise. This new partnership gave me the opportunity to learn even more about the nature of the real estate practitioner. This experience led to my decision in 2003 to depart from Re/Max and proudly join Weichert Realtors. Our company became the first Weichert Franchise in Queens.
My commitment and dedication to embrace innovation allowed me to always be open minded to new ways, such as the application of technology in our industry and its effect on marketing, professional training and personal development. During the last 26 years my direct involvement in the recruiting and training of new agents gave me the opportunity to become passionate about our industry and really appreciate our services as Realtors with respect to our clients, Buyers and Sellers.
The market trends and business failures of the industry forced me to seek new ideas and new concepts. Thus, as a result of my spirit of constantly re-evaluating the circumstances and seeking new ideas and more importantly, never being afraid of new directions, I came to be in front of the opportunity to be part of the creation of a new Market Center for Keller Williams Landmark Realty. This is where I am in the present.

In addition to managing and training new real estate agents, I have dedicated my entire career, within the residential market of mostly owner occupied homes, to assisting sellers and buyers in selling, buying and relocating.
Helping homeowners to sell their homes, as their exclusive Realtor has always been my biggest goal! I embrace the task of assisting sellers in their efforts to secure the best price, prevent inconveniences and move within the time frame they planned. I recognize the fact that their home, in most instances, is their biggest asset and therefore, when they are ready to leave their "nest", deserve to secure the best price that the market bears at the moment. As a Realtor, I am their source of knowledge and guidance.
In working as a Realtor with buyers, it is essential to be well informed of all the financial programs and requirements to obtain mortgage loan financing. I recognize that buyers are mostly motivated by emotions, but my knowledge and understanding of loan financing allows me to be pro-active in pre-qualifying buyers. I give special attention to the buyer's financial ability to obtain a loan and afford a payment. The buyer needs to be "ready, willing and able", especially able, before I can honestly help them buy their dream home. Sellers benefit from my attention to pre-qualifying buyers by avoiding signing sales contracts that never close.
