Laura Alberts Tasteful Options
by: Larry Collett • 0
Established in 2002 by mother/daughter team Laura Leppert and Karen Elsey, Laura Alberts is a café and purveyor of craft beer, fine wine and gifts. The name ‘Laura Alberts’ comes from combining Karen’s mother’s name, Laura and her father’s name, Albert. Laura is a Charleston native well-known for her crab dip, aged white cheddar pimento cheese, chocolate bourbon pecan pie & coconut creme pie, all of which is served regularly at the restaurant. Albert was a North Charleston policeman quite fond of Laura’s cuisine.
Located on Daniel Island, 10 minutes from the heart of historic Charleston, South Carolina, we serve up true lowcountry cuisine with an innovative flair. Our wine selection is known for featuring the best of over 19 varietals in any price point. In 2009, we added a 6-tap, full-service growler station, offering a wide selection of hard-to-find craft beers available by growler, bomber, and glass. We also offer gourmet catering, dinners-to-go, corporate lunches, picnic or boating boxed lunches, and a wine club. We have a Fresh Local menu and serve Certified South Carolina grown products.
