"Negotiation Genius" by Deepak Malhotra and Max Bazerman addresses the issue of how to overcome obstacles and achieve brilliant results at the bargaining table. The two writers are leaders in executive education at Harvard Business School, and participate in the "Harvard Negotiation Project". The Harvard Negotiation Project is the biggest, longest and most well known research project in the area of negotiation. The book is one of the highest in Amazon's list on negotiation, but to my mind it is the most thorough, and most backed up by research.
