Knowledge Services, a part of Cisco’s Advanced Services, has enabled the mobile access to Technical Knowledge Library (TKL) from Android Mobile devices. This Android version has a TKL Mobile App for accessing application and a TKL Viewer for viewing encrypted content. Both must be installed by the users on their Android devices for TKL to be used properly.
The Android release enhances the accessibility of TKL content on mobile devices to the users. The Apps can be on both the tablet and phone variants of Android devices.
The TKL Mobile App has the key features such as login, browse, download, view, and search capabilities provided in an elegant User Interface. It has the search and download features allowing the users to locate and download content to their mobile devices. Many of the TKL content is in an encrypted format and in order to view the encrypted content a TKL Viewer App is also provided.
The TKL users can use their existing TKL login credentials (CCO UserID and Password) for logging into TKL. The user’s current DRM credentials on the desktop can be used to activating and viewing content on the TKL Viewer App.
The apps available on both the Gingerbread (android 2.3 onwards) and Honeycomb(Android 3.0) versions of Android on devices such as to Motorola Xoom or Samsung Note or Kindle Fire(Within U.S. ONLY).
