EasyTether Lite allows you to use your smartphone connection to navigate on your computer
First off, uninstall the Lite version from your smartphone before upgrading.
You just need to enable 3G/4G/WiFi connection on your smartphone and connect it to your computer via USB. Then, you have to choose the OS running on your computer to avoid incompatibilities and start surfing the web (Windows 7/Vista/XP-64 bit/XP-32 bit., Mac OS 10.4-10.7, Ubuntu, Fedora supported). It doesn't need either root access either advanced configuration. It's for all audiences. However, it allows you to set DNS in case you have to.
The main flaw of this app is that the developer blocks HTTPS, Instant messengers and game console thethering on the Lite version. The only way to unblock these features is upgrading to the full version ($9.99). And it has to be said that it's far from being cheap. Given that there are other Tethering apps that doesn't block it (and which are free), it has no sense.
Anyway, this pro version allows you to do interesting features: full access to https for secure sites as facebook, gmail, banking, etc. It allows tether to ps3, xbox360, wii via your PC.
We wish, Mobile Stream, the developer of this app will re-think this way of making money with his app. Besides that, the app works great.

Some carriers have hidden the original EasyTether app. They cannot do this because of the latest FCC tether rules.
Note that all paid EasyTether versions function the same way. There is no difference. You can buy whatever is visible with your carrier.
Remove other EasyTether versions before installation.

I've been a long time user of easy teather, and it has been by far the best app I've purchased. It's nice to be able to have decent internet where I live, as high speed isn't available.
I have an Samsung android phone and the app works just as it advertises. I would only suggest that the developers tweek so that web pages automatically show in desktop format and not mobile. It's not a huge problem because most sites allow users to switch
I have been using this app for awhile and love it. Works great on my smartphone with my laptop. I bought the full version and it worksmuch better.
this app works awesome with my laptop, using my ZTE AWR
Had this app for years it may not be compatible with some devices though. But if you're phone is compatible you will love it! Worth the money and a 5 star rating! Hands down.
I had this app working on my Galaxy S2 and my android tablet. I've never been able to get this app to work properly on my Nexus 5. The tablet will connect but no apps detect an internet connection. Worked great when it worked but can no longer recommen
This app works exactly as described if one follows instructions, but the connection is broken whenever the screen of my galaxy s4 mini times out. This is annoying to say the least.
