EasyTether Lite allows you to use your smartphone connection to navigate on your computer
You just need to enable 3G/4G/WiFi connection on your smartphone and connect it to your computer via USB. Then, you have to choose the OS running on your computer to avoid incompatibilities and start surfing the web (Windows 7/Vista/XP-64 bit/XP-32 bit., Mac OS 10.4-10.7, Ubuntu, Fedora supported). It doesn't need either root access either advanced configuration. It's for all audiences. However, it allows you to set DNS in case you have to.
The main flaw of this app is that the developer blocks HTTPS, Instant messengers and game console thethering on the Lite version. The only way to unblock these features is upgrading to the full version ($9.99). And it has to be said that it's far from being cheap. Given that there are other Tethering apps that doesn't block it (and which are free), it has no sense.
We wish, Mobile Stream, the developer of this app will re-think this way of making money with his app. Besides that, the app works.
EasyTether shares Internet connection from your smartphone with your computer or tablet.
It supports USB tethering for Windows, Mac OS X or Linux computers and Android 4.x tablets.
It supports Bluetooth tethering for Android 4.x tablets only.
It does not require root access or special tethering plans.
THE LITE VERSION BLOCKS HTTPS, INSTANT MESSENGERS AND GAME CONSOLE TETHERING. IF YOU WANT FULL FEATURES, PURCHASE THE FULL VERSION.
Full app allows https - access to secure sites such as facebook, gmail, online banking etc.
Full app supports PS3, Xbox and Wii tethering by means of Internet connection sharing feature on Windows or Mac.
Full app is $9.99, one-time fee only.
All updates are free for registered users, simply re-type the activation code from your purchase confirmation e-mail.

I tried using the Bluetooth option to tether my nexus 7, but despite either device saying "connection established" I wasn't able to access the internet on my tablet. I hope I've done something wrong, and this isn't the result of my having a 4.4.2 Moto x on Verizon unlimited...
Try to tether to tablet through Bluetooth but keeps saying could not configure vpn. Any help?
I have a Galaxy Note 2 and is still not working !
This is a cool app. Thought it has some issues on my phone. First is that even at slightest jerk it disconnects. Second is that my phones battery goes down quickly and the third is that it messes up with my battery stats and battery shows 15% more that actaul and it remains like that until I remove and re insert the battery. Currently PDA net solves all the problem above and is much faster and eff
