EasyTether Lite allows you to use your smartphone connection to navigate on your computer
This version has been enhanced and includes no usage restriction.
You just need to enable 3G/4G/WiFi connection on your smartphone and connect it to your computer via USB. Then, you have to choose the OS running on your computer to avoid incompatibilities and start surfing the web (Windows 7/Vista/XP-64 bit/XP-32 bit., Mac OS 10.4-10.7, Ubuntu, Fedora supported). It doesn't need either root access either advanced configuration. It's for all audiences. However, it allows you to set DNS in case you have to.
The main flaw of this app is that the developer blocks HTTPS, Instant messengers and game console thethering on the Lite version. The only way to unblock these features is upgrading to the full version ($9.99). And it has to be said that it's far from being cheap. Given that there are other Tethering apps that doesn't block it (and which are free), it has no sense.
We wish, Mobile Stream, the developer of this app will re-think this way of making money with his app. Besides that, the app works great.
EasyTether shares Internet connection from your smartphone with your computer or tablet.
It supports USB tethering for Windows, Mac OS X or Linux computers and Android 4.x tablets.
It supports Bluetooth tethering for Windows computers and Android 4.0.3+ tablets.
It does not require root access or special tethering plans.
It supports PS3, Xbox and Wii tethering by means of Internet connection sharing feature on Windows or Mac.
One-time fee only.
Some carriers have hidden the original EasyTether app. They cannot do
this because of the latest FCC tether rules.
Note that all paid EasyTether versions function the same way. There is
no difference. You can buy whatever is visible with your carrier.
Remove other EasyTether versions before installation.
EasyTether is developed by Mobile Stream.
Bluetooth support for Windows is now official.

Love not having to fork out the extra cash to metro
I've been using this app for a long time now and so far it's never let me down. Used it to tether my desktop when cable internet goes down. Tether to a laptop during long car rides. Definitely worth the price. Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon network.
I was working perfectly untill metro pcs/t mobile began to offer their own wi fi, now all i get is their web page to buy it. If it can't be fixed, I'm asking for my money back.
I really like this app, works just like it says.
Great app. Waiting on update to kit kat to use tablet
Between working from the road and missing my favorite mmo, easy tether has saved the day. Since you can install the drivers for the computer via mass storage on the phone, you don't even need to do the setup before you leave the house. The wired tether usually charges the phone (unless data loads are heavy), as opposed to Wi-Fi tether draining the battery even faster. It also works off your primar
Works great, I use it to link my slingbox to my laptop on trips or long rides. Nothing like watching the NE Patriots when away from home.Decent at 3G great when you are in 4G.
