EasyTether Lite allows you to use your smartphone connection to navigate on your computer

This version has been enhanced and includes no usage restriction.

You just need to enable 3G/4G/WiFi connection on your smartphone and connect it to your computer via USB. Then, you have to choose the OS running on your computer to avoid incompatibilities and start surfing the web (Windows 7/Vista/XP-64 bit/XP-32 bit., Mac OS 10.4-10.7, Ubuntu, Fedora supported). It doesn't need either root access either advanced configuration. It's for all audiences. However, it allows you to set DNS in case you have to.

The main flaw of this app is that the developer blocks HTTPS, Instant messengers and game console thethering on the Lite version. The only way to unblock these features is upgrading to the full version ($9.99). And it has to be said that it's far from being cheap. Given that there are other Tethering apps that doesn't block it (and which are free), it has no sense.

We wish, Mobile Stream, the developer of this app will re-think this way of making money with his app. Besides that, the app works great.

Using this app for about a year now and haven't had any major issues other than simply having to reconnect. One problem that does occur is when Verizon sends updates the app won't work. Quick fix that has worked is removing the app from my phone and than reinstalling. Hope this helps people with issues.

I can't get high speed internet where I live but I can get a 4g tower signal. This app allows me to get good internet speed (as fast as my phone allows) without paying through the nose. Plus when I'm on the job site I can connect my laptop at any time. Awesome app!
