50,000 - 100,000 downloads
Pros
- Lots of options
- Does what it says, it really is an assistant and does many things
Cons
- The free version only works 28 days
- Full version is expensive
- Needs some improvement
EVAN Intern - Virtual Assistant is a helpful application for your device that does thousands of actions and operations for you, like reading and replying messages, schedule events and others several actions.
Once you say what you need, EVA lists the options based on what he has understood and you should choose the one you meant and he does it for you. There are many things he can do: reminders based on locations, actions based on times, different modes and other multiple features. In additional features, you can integrate it with Evernote, Home Automation Insteon and Bluetooth Headsets.
Whereas it includes hundreds of options and it can be extremely useful, the design and organization still can be enhanced, for now it's pretty chaotic and sometimes you need to wait for EVA to finish talking and that can be pretty annoying sometimes. Still, it's better than most other Assistant, this one has better options and features.
BulletProof is the developer of EVA and other similar apps. Of course he won't get everything at first but if you spell it slowly and wait for the options, it most definitely will help you do what you want. It's a pity that the free version only lasts for 28 days. On a different note, is it really necessary to have both masculine and feminine version of the same app? Are we really that sexist?
This Intern version will run for 28 days but includes all the same features as the paid version. Your settings will transfer to the paid version. EVAN is the same as AVX with just a different look and feel.
NOTE: If you have any problems please email me (link below, I don't bite). You are wasting your time leaving it as an app review because Google has not provided a way for me to contact you.
Who should use EVAN? If you are looking for an application that provides hands-free operation of your phone then EVAN is right for you. If you are just looking for an electronic friend to chat with then please go with one of the Siri clones. On the other hand if you want a real virtual assistant that has extremely useful functions that will make your life easier then please give EVAN a try.
EVAN has all the functions you'd expect your assistant to perform plus some that you probably never knew were possible. Here is a list of some of the functions that you wont find in most of the competition:
★ Reading and replying to incoming text (including Google Voice) and email (including Exchange)
★ Reading and replying to incoming instant messages via Google Talk
★ Integration with Google+
★ Integration with Evernote
★ Integration with Tasker
★ Home Automation with INSTEON. Turn on the lights and appliances, open the garage door and a whole lot more, all with voice commands or scheduled or based on your location.
★ Time based reminders. Remind you to do something on a day and/or time.
★ Location based reminders. Remind you to do something based on your location.
★ Location based actions. Perform any function that EVAN can do based on your current location. Have EVAN automatically text your wife when you leave the office.
★ Time based actions. Perform any function that EVAN can do on a set day and time
★ In-Car mode including wake up phrase and fully customizable function buttons
★ Custom voice shortcuts to your phone applications. Give your apps any name you want and open them using that name.
★ Voice bookmarks to your favorite web sites.
★ Activate just by shaking your phone
★ Works with all Bluetooth Headsets and most In-Car Bluetooth devices
★ Read and write NFC tags on compatible devices
★ Remote control your phone over Google Talk
★ Too many other features to list

If you have tried Vlingo, Speaktoit, Jeannie, Skyvi or Iris and you want something that does most everything they can do plus a lot more then give EVAN a try.

If you prefer a female assistant please choose EVA instead.
If you don't already have a third party text to speech voice that replaces the default Pico voice on your phone I recommend SVOX Classic.Download the Free SVOX Classic to demo the voices.
EVAN is English only. Please don't give me 1 star ratings for not having your language. I am one person working on this. Other languages are not possible at this time!

Good features, but not worth the $ as there's no "kill switch". Had to manually kill it as I didn't need/want it on 24/7 draining my battery dry.

To be honest, I really love the concept of this app. The dev is really good and supportive. This does way more stuff that most other apps. And if you want more features the dev will work with you. The problem is that it is not dependable. It didn't always

Was okay at first, but keeps judging me. My phone doesn't need to talk about me being awake late, or bug me when I'm doing something. Just got annoying.
