There's no need to have installed on your Android Go Launcher EX, you can use this widget independently.
It brings a 4x2 widget (or an icon) to your Android. From it you will be able to view messages, reply, compose a message, call, delete the SMS, mark as read or customize the widget from settings.
Adding the widget to your home screen is easy: long-press on your home screen and choose Go SMS widget. The main catch we've noticed is that there's only one widget size available. We're missing other sizes to adjust it to the needs of every users.
Anyway there's a new version of GO SMS that adds new functions and overtakes this one: GO SMS Pro. Check it out on the right frame.
Go Launcher EX Notification has been developed by Go Launcher Dev Team, a developer who's reaching remarkably success thanks to Go Launcher EX and the rest of add-on and plug-in.
But, to enjoy more powerful SMS funtion, you need to install the latest version of GO SMS Pro, which is the most popular SMS/MMS app in Android Market.
** How to add GO SMS Widget on your home screen?
- Long press on your home screen, press the Widget option and choose GO SMS widget. Make sure your home screen has enough room for the widget.

Does what its supposed to do, but more colors would be cool.

delivery reports not actives with this widget. and after restarting, the phone displays that i have unread msgs. but i havent unread ones and i havent restored my old backed up msgs. so the reason is this widget. it can't really mark as read. one star. :-

I don't use the full program. This widget pulls the texts as a priority, and Makes FB chat heads not work. They need to make it less of a priority I suppose. Would be a nice option
