Buggy, wrong calculation
It's giving a false result, JN97mk instead of JN97MJ. Be careful, do not use it.

does not shut off gps after use
gps receiver is not disabled when exiting from this app. also, some text in the initial screen is garbled and the grid locator font is bigger than the display window (the J is cut and looks like an I)

Works perfectly on my Samsung Epic 4G (Galaxy S-type phone) from Sprint. No problems. Just need to wait a few seconds so the GPS can get a lock.
