Hotmail is the official Android app of one of the most popular e-mailing services
Hotmail has been upgraded to Outlook.com
Even though in the last times seems that Gmail is increasing its popularity, Hotmail has been for a long time one of the most used e-mailing services. For those Android devices owners who are active Hotmail users no thing better than have their accounts synced. It's true that it's possible to do it with the default e-mailing app, but with Hotmail official Android app users will gain in sync-speed, ease of use and customization.
First off, Input e-mail and password. From options you can select at your whim the sync period, contacts, calendar and other hotmail resources. You can also customize your signature, "reply to", folders, contacts, quiet time (when sync is disabled) and many other options.
It should be said that sync is really fast, much more than in the default Android e-mailing service. What's more, the black layout helps battery saving and smooth performance. It obviously supports multi-account and you can even search e-mails or contacts by keywords. Reading e-mails when you're offline is possible too.
In a nutshell, fast sync, cool layout and a complete app regarding settings. If you're a Hotmail user, this is a must-have.
Now you can get the official Microsoft Outlook.com app so you can continue to have easy access to your account and never miss a thing. All your content automatically comes with you when you upgrade to Outlook.com. Your Hotmail login and password, saved emails, and rules are automatically moved to your new inbox. You can keep your @Hotmail address and get an @Outlook.com address to use with your account.
Key features include:
- New intuitive design, look and feel
- Get emails right away with push notifications
- Sync with your device Calendar and Contacts
- View and sync standard and custom folders, including sub-folders
- Group your email conversations with Conversation Threading
- Send, receive, and view photos and other attachments
- Easy to use search functionality
- Use with multiple Outlook.com accounts
Android versions supported: 2.3, 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2

The Hotmail app has a problem. You can have one Inbox, or Sent folder visible. The page with the folders on one side and the emails on the other is nowhere to be seen! Is there a fix. Thanks. Angela
This app would have a much higher rating if the weenies that rate it 1 or 2 stars because they are inept would figure out what ID10T error they are causing. Nice to see a Microsoft
app on Android...
