As a service to Law Enforcement, LE iDatapps has developed a free app for Android devices called iWitness. This app allows citizens to send GPS coordinates, photos and messages to the Law Enforcement agency whose app they have download.
Instructions: Key or use speech button in order to input your text notes. You may also select one image per transmission. No text length or transmission limits. Complete your text and/or optional image selection. After seeing your selected image and text, ready to send. Scroll down to Send To button at bottom of screen and press. Verification is seen when app closes.
Law Enforcement agencies that choose to use this app will have a link on the agency website that allows citizens to request to download the app. This allows the agency to monitor who they allow to have the free app. Another function of CommCenters is to assist the IT Department in set up.
