Natasha’s Justice Project is preventing sexual assault and seeking help for survivors.

We’re a nonprofit organization created to empower survivors of sexual assault by getting their rape kits off the shelves and tested so that their perpetrators are brought to justice.

We also offer survivor travel grants to survivors so that they can be present at their attackers’ trials.

What is the rape kit backlog?

A rape kit is the biological and physical evidence, including DNA, collected from a rape victim’s body. But not all rape kits get tested. Instead, many become part of the rape kit backlog — untested rape kits warehoused in police storage and crime lab facilities.
