PdaNet turns your Android into a hotspot and allows your computer to go online through your mobile phone connection

It's as simple as it sounds: PdaNet is an app that allows you to use your Android phone connection to navigate through your PC or Mac. You just need to download the app and then connect your Android to your computer by USB or Bluetooth DUN. It doesn't require tether, plan or rooting. What's more, PdaNet includes an additional SMS Agent app that allows you to send/receive SMS from PC.

Pdanet has been developed by June Fabrics Technology Inc, an emerging developer who has just launched this app on market but which has been very well received.

If you often are in the situation of needing a PC that has no Internet access, you will love having this app installed in your phone. It does what it says works properly. Easy, fast and reliable. High recommendable.

Developer's original description available here
PdaNet+ now contains both PdaNet and FoxFi. Turn your Android phone into free WiFi hotspot or USB broadband modem. No rooting. No tether plan needed.

With additional improvements, this is a complete tether solution of sharing phone Internet with computers or tablets.

PdaNet+ supports USB, Bluetooth and WiFi. USB mode works for all Android phones. FoxFi/WiFi mode only works on some phones. Please see the supported list at http://pdanet.co/devices

Free edition of PdaNet+ will require you to turn back on after some usage, otherwise it is same as full version.

Recently changed in this version:

FoxFi/WiFi mode now supports Jelly Bean you have a Verizon phone. Please install FoxFi 2.12 directly from Play Store to take advantage of latest updates. PdaNet+ contains version 2.10 only.

SMS Agent and home screen widget has been removed temporarily in current build. Previous versions of PdaNet are still available at our website.

Update: USB connection error "Communication with client has been broken" is fixed in 4.12.6.

Enjoyed FoxFi on 2.3, on Galaxy S II, but "upgrade" (not really) to ICS 4.1.2 killed FoxFi. Trying hard to Make PdaNet+ work, but no throughput with Bluetooth. Works OK with tether, but T-Mobile 4G is usually weak, and need to be near a window in building

Downloaded the app, didn't work. Decided to change my screen lock, then tried to revert back to my previous screen lock (none), later found I could not do that. Why? I don't know, but after downloading this app my phone has been acting strange. Obviously,

I only need this for about 2 nights a week. I've downloaded the app and just about every 4-5 (or less) minutes it shuts down. It will start over but, its aggravating to have to restart. Does anyone else have this problem?
