"Use your Android 3G connection to surf the PC or other devices"

Reviewed by / Jun 03, 2011

PdaNet turns your Android into a hotspot and allows your computer to go online through your mobile phone connection

It's as simple as it sounds: PdaNet is an app that allows you to use your Android phone connection to navigate through your PC or Mac. You just need to download the app and then connect your Android to your computer by USB or Bluetooth DUN. It doesn't require tether, plan or rooting. What's more, PdaNet includes an additional SMS Agent app that allows you to send/receive SMS from PC.

Pdanet has been developed by June Fabrics Technology Inc, an emerging developer who has just launched this app on market but which has been very well received.

If you often are in the situation of needing a PC that has no Internet access, you will love having this app installed in your phone. It does what it says works properly. Easy, fast and reliable. High recommendable.

Developer's original description available here
PdaNet+ now contains both PdaNet and FoxFi. Turn your Android phone into free WiFi hotspot or USB broadband modem. No rooting. No tether plan needed.

With additional improvements, this is a complete tether solution of sharing phone Internet with computers or tablets.

PdaNet+ supports USB, Bluetooth and WiFi. USB mode works for all Android phones. FoxFi/WiFi mode only works on some phones. Please see the supported list at http://pdanet.co/devices

Free edition of PdaNet+ will require you to turn back on after some usage, otherwise it is same as full version.

Recently changed in this version

Verizon phones no longer allow WiFi mode in Android 4.4 update. You have to use USB mode or Bluetooth mode instead.

Version 4.15 significantly improves USB connection speed, also fixes a few connection dropping issues introduced in latest Android system update.

I bought it and cannot get it to connect. I get an error message about an INF section being invalid. Tried a couple of work arounds I found on the net, nothing worked. PdaNet junk in my opinion.
