"Make free Skype-to-Skype calls, and call phones at Skype rates"

Reviewed by / Jun 28, 2013

Skype mobile version. Use your Internet connection to make calls cheaper.

Skype was one of the great inventions brought us by the Internet and it was something we were expecting to apply to our phones.

However, it seems that the end result is disappointing. The battery drain is outrageous and comfort and functionality of desktop Skype does not shine anywhere here. We agree that Skype was a great idea when it was launched, but nearly all carriers offer unlimited calls at an affordable rate. Useful if you’re calling to a foreign country but doubtful otherwise. Our great hope was videochat, but we found it laggy and awkward.

Skype users at home should also try the Skype app. But those of us who wanted to discover something so new and wonderful as a free and useful videochat app maybe have to wait a little to get what we expected.
