Talkdroid Messenger is a Windows Live Messenger client for Android (or also known as MSN Messenger). You can easily sign in with your existing Windows Live account to get in contact with your friends.

So far so good... Wish it would allow for notifications in an active conversation and had the 12 hour time stamp but those are just personal preference.
