Mandarin Chinese is a difficult language to learn, and one of the most difficult things, especially in the beginning, are tones and the correct pronounciation of the various syllables. This app uses Pinyin romanization to list all syllables there are and allow you to listen to the 5 tones (4 tones and the silent tone) by choosing the wanted syllable and the klicking on one of the five buttons.
On the bottom of the screen you find a list of letters helping you to scroll to the various syllables in a simple and quick way.
Furthermore, all data are stored offline, which means you don't need an internet connection to be able to use the sounds.
Especially for older smartphones internal memory is a precious resource. In order not to waste that, all the data can be moved to the SD card (if available). Here you can learn how to do that: http://droidlessons.com/how-to-move-android-apps-to-the-sd-card/
