Visualize the most recent global climate data from NASA's Earth Science satellites
Feed your inner geek with this NASA app that lets you check out visual displays of recent data sent from NASA's Earth Science satellites.
Select from surface air temperature, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, water vapor, and gravity and sea level variations. The data takes just a second or two to load, then you're rewarded with a 3D display of Earth on the screen in vivid colors representing the data. Flick the globe to spin it, or pinch to zoom in.
There's a bit of extra info explaining each of the data sets and helping you interpret what the various colors might mean. Other than that, this app is lean and mean, doing precisely what it says it does and doing it well.
Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Earth-Now app is just perfect for those interested in climate change, plus anyone who wished they could have gone to Space Camp.
Nice useful application!
It's easy to install and i was looking for an app like that
Its last update was in 2012. When will it update with new data?
