You can choose between the metric or imperial (angloamerican) system for all hydraulic calculations.
In addition, conversions of important hydraulic units (length, area, volume, pressure, temperature, torque, force, speed, time, power, flow and mass) are offered.

1. Hydraulic calculations
Choose if angloamerican (imperial) units are desired. The metric system is set by default.

input: piston diameter, rod diameter and cylinder length, choose if a double rod cylinder is considered
results: piston area, piston side volume, rod side area, rod side volume, cylinder area, cylinder area ratio
proceed eiter with the calculation of cylinder speed and force or pump flow and pressure

input: pump oil flow and pressure
results: cylinder velocity, force, return flow and stroke time for both extend and retract of the cylinder piston in open cylinder circuit as well as in regenerative cylinder circuit (see circuits under "i").

input: required cylinder speed and force
results: pump oil flow and pressure, return flow and stroke time for both extend and retract of the cylinder piston in open cylinder circuit as well as in regenerative cylinder circuit (see circuits under "i").
Calculates the pressure drop over one valve land
Input: nominal flow and nominal pressure of the considered valve, actual flow (i.e. result from cylinder calculation)
Output: Pressure drop over one valve land (for recommendations see "i")
Calculates the required volume on a bladder type accumulator
Input: gas pressure, minimum accumulator pressure, maximum accumulator pressure, oil volume needed (i. e. result from cylinder calculation
Output: effective gas valume either for adiabatic or isothermal working conditions
Calculates pump flow and motor data
Input: pump pressure and size (displacement), for motor speed, volumetric efficiency and hydro- mechanical efficiency default values are set
Output: pump flow, motor torque, motor power
Calculates flow over orifice at given pressure
Input: Orifice diameter and pressure
Output: flow over orifice
Calculates pressure drop over a pipe.
Input: Pipe length, diameter and flow, recommended value for viscosity is preset
Output: Velocity of oil, pressure drop over the pipe length, Reynolds number and if the flow type is laminar or turbulent.
