IRE 2011 Conference

Investigative Reporters & Editors' Conference app allows you to easily view the 2011 conference schedule and share what panels you're attending with your followers on Twitter, Facebook and other social networks. At the 2011 IRE Conference in Orlando, Fla., you'll learn how journalists uncovered the biggest stories of the year, This app will help you make the most of the conference.

Helpful hints when using the app:

Finding certain panels:
* Use the search function to find panels and hands-on training sessions with specific speakers.

Organizing the schedule:

You can view events by their track or the room they’re appearing or you can see all the events for that particular day.
* After you've clicked on a day, touch Menu --> All Events to see all the events for that day. Touch Menu --> Settings to aggregate events by room or the type of panel.

Creating your own schedule

* Add panels to your "Favorites" to create your own schedule to follow at the conference. To do this, click on the star in the upper right-hand corner of the panel description.
* On the home screen touch the “Favorites” button to see all the events you’ve added.
* You can set up notifications if a panel on your favorites is about to start. On the home screen touch Menu-- > Settings to change the app settings.

Sharing events on your social networks:

* After you’ve found a panel you like and your viewing the panel description, click Menu-->Share to bring up the various social networking applications on your Android Device. The text "I’m attending" will be added to the panel time and time as well as the hashtag #IRE11.
