Pi Calculator

Ever wondered how mathematicians figured out so many digits of the mystical transcendental number pi? This app answers that question for you! Mathematicians have written infinite series's that go on for ever, producing a result closer and closer to pi as you continue to calculate. To calculate these series with many terms, a computer can be very useful, and a pi-calculating computer is what your phone becomes with this app! Click a button to calculate pi, how many iterations of the series you calculate depends on the button you press. By comparing the results, you can see just how long it takes for a computer to calculate a large number of digits!

The digits tab is a secondary feature that is quite simple. It shows you the first 200 digits of pi, so just in case you need them quick, this app makes a great reference!
