Add this app to your lists
An appWidget dedicated for geoCachers – install it on your home screen.

[Please please note: a number of people have reported that this does not work because they have not realised that it is an appWidget which you have to manually install on your home screen]

It dynamically updates itself to show you the count of all caches within a certain radius of your current location, and using the button you can go through to the website to see the list of caches.

The auto detection of location changes can be toggled on or off, and always possible to do a manual refresh at any time.

Comment about permisssions used - READ_PHONE_STATE we need this so we can monitor changes in the state of your cellular network data connection, so we can determine if we are able to go and access the cache information online.

If you have problems with the app not behaving how you expect, or it lacks features you'd like to see then please let us know before leaving negative feedback. We want to give you an app that works the way you want it to work.

When leaving comments especially if having problems give us as much info as you can ie the location co-ordinates reported by the widget, any other information shown on the widget, the search range requested, android version and phone model are all very useful.

Just didn't seem to work very well. No real time update of lat/long. Even pressing the manual updates button seemed to take ages. Tried to use it for a bit of geo caching with my kids, gave up as it was a pain.

It would be nice to have it ignore found caches.

Why does it need to read my phone state and identity? Uninstalled as it may be malicious.

Not so great. It works but slowly. Easier to just start up c:geo & look every so often.
