ES Remote is an Android Phone app that enables Sony AV receivers to be operated via the phone’s touch screen. It is compatible with the following models.
- STR-DA5800ES
- STR-DA2800ES
- STR-DA5700ES
- STR-DA3700ES
Just like with the graphic interface of AV receivers, ES Remote has cool graphics and is easy to use. It handles basic AV receiver operations (turning on and off the power, adjusting the volume, switching input sources, switching sound fields, etc.) as well as Zone functions. That way, you can easily operate the AV receiver from the screen of your Android Phone, even in another room. The app is even equipped with a DMC (Digital Media Controller) function. Designing ES Remote in an advanced manner just for AV receivers enabled high sound quality playback of Internet service content and music files on your NAS or PC with ES Remote.

I am using this with the STRDA2800ES and it works flawlessly! I am also using the app to control my DirecTV, Sony 1700ES Bluray, Marantz CD changer, LG HDDVD, Sony 50ES projector, and two zones of lights. Setup was easy and automation macros work great.

Will not find or connect to my DA2800ES receiver. Connected and then worked only twice after many attempts to reconnect. I made sure all of the receiver settings were set as required. The app recognized my receiver 1st attempt and then did not see it afte

5700ES - EVO LTE 4G I had the same connectivity issues that are reported in most of the other reviews. It would work....then it wouldn't. Very irritating. My router...deep in its manual...had a solution...I turned on MULTICAST STREAMING (defaulted off) On

Lg optimus g and 5700es sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. More so doesnt though! Updated- 3-29-13 - multicast streaming must be enabled for this app to work. Enable that in your router and it works fantasticly! Thanks to Joe the pther reviewer for

Haven't been able to connect to DA2800ES for last several months. Neither can my roommate's phone. Figured I should wait for an update, but it's been too long. App is useless.
