Little Mix were the surprise 2011 winners of the UK X Factor. All the girls had auditioned separately and received good comments from the judges before they went onto the judges houses. At this stage however they all got rejected from the show and thought their X Factor journey was over.
Then Simon Cowell decided that the show needed a new girl band in the final and asked the girls if they would like to try out for a new girl band. after a few auditions they formed Little Mix and then went on to surprise everyone by winning the show.
