This is a 45 page photo book of Thumbelina. One day, Thumbelina, who emerged from a tulip was carried off by a toad. With the help of fish, she escaped the toad but then a stag-beetle kidnapped her. The stag-beetle left her behind and a mouse helped her this time. The mouse tried to force her to marry a mole but then a swallow looked after her and helped her. In the end she married the flower-fairy prince. This photo book collects the pictures which remind us of the princess surrounded by beautiful flowers and meeting and leaving various creatures. It also includes the pictures of country view in Odense, which is the birthplace of Andersen.
