TV.com is an app that contains a video database of the main series and TV shows of a wide variety of TV channels

Did you miss the last episode of your favorite series and can't wait to watch it? No worries. TV.com brings a personal TV to your phone, for play over WiFi or 3G/EDGE/GPRS. This means you can watch the videos wherever you are and whenever you want (if they've been uploaded by the TV channel). The available TV channels are CBS, The CW, CNET, ET, Showtime, CBS News, CBS Sports and others. There's no need to subscribe to the service. It's completely free.

We found three major catches, though. Firstly, there are mostly clips instead of full episodes. Secondly, there aren't very many channels and they're all "local". Finally, the availability of a video depends on whether the TV channel has uploaded it onto its website.

TV.com was developed by CBS Interactive, Inc., the development team of the well-known TV Channel. They're quite active in the field of Android app development and they've released around dozen so far.

TV.com could be improved in terms of the amount of channels and full-video availability. But since this depends on someone else granting rights and permissions, this isn't directly in the developers’ hands. In short, the app is well worth it.
