GnuCash is a mobile finance expense tracker application for Android.

It is a companion application for GnuCash for the desktop and enables flexible tracking of expenses on-the-go which can be exported to the Open Financial eXchange (OFX) format or QIF format.

The following features are currently supported:
- Create multiple accounts and transactions
- Import your GnuCash (desktop) accounts and transactions.
- Double-entry accounting with multiple-splits support
- Nested account hierarchy
- Homescreen widget for quick access to your accounts
- Export your transactions in OFX or QIF format
- Save your transactions to Google Drive, SkyDrive, Dropbox etc

*NOTE* that the app does not offer full compatibility with GnuCash for the desktop. You cannot synchronize between the desktop app and this one. But you can import your accounts and transactions (only) from uncompressed GnuCash XML files.

The app response time for each new entry takes about 15s to process. It happened after upgrade to latest version.

But the only thing with similar capabilities having awitched from Palm Pre to Android. Hopefully split transactions work with rhis update. Also a shame rhat it doesn't sync both ways (like Pocket Quicken does) ro have your full accounting system on tour handheld. Otherwise, it's a great full açcounting package when combined wirh GnuCash desktop.

I solved my problem where I couldn't edit transactions: it seems if there is no corresponding transfer account for credit card transactions (I only had one account for the credit card). Then you can't edit transactions. After creating an expense account it seems to be working.

These later upgrades until v1.4.1 don't work on my device. I have to say though that the developers are so generous to assist you when you encounter a problem. I'd been using v.1.3.3, which was perfect for my small business. If there's a paid version which works well across platforms and keeps secure automatic backups of data, I'd be paying to have it.
