"#1 Finance Site"

Reviewed by / Jan 13, 2014

Yahoo! Finance provides daily market briefing, news and stock market tracking tool

Yahoo! might not be the first search engine, but it's still the first finance site. It provides an accessible layout that has become familiar for most users and difficult to give up using. It's full-featured and easy to use and understand.

Yahoo! Finance for Android has captured that essence and poured it out on this app. It provides a full coverage with real-time updated info about major indices and quotes. The users can customize their portfolio from the app, track tickers adding as many figures as they want, or sign in to access their Y! Finance portfolios.

In addition, it highlights top financial stories that can give you some insights about market changes. There's a quotes searcher by keywords and, from settings, users can set region, enable/disable auto refresh, and set auto-refresh timer.

I agree with the other reviews noting the loss of portfolio tracking. It's the main reason I use this app. It's nowhere to be found. I can't imagine who would've given the green-light.

Plus, you have to constantly log on. Like looking at a collection of ticket symbols is a big deal. But, I am tied to Yahoo. So, I guess I just have to suck it.
