Walkroid - simple pedometer - displays your today's steps and distance. It also has trip meters so that you can measure distance between any two points by walk or steps each walking.
In addition to the normal application, widget is available.

*** CAUTION ***
Unfortunately some devices stop the accelerometer in the device when the screen is OFF, the app doesn't run well on such devices.

    Not bad. It's very hungry though, it will decimate your battery charge.

    The app does not count steps when the screen is off even when disabling the battery saving function.

    I like this app however it's a bit inaccurate. It counts movements as steps when ever phone is being used i.e. when texting or talking on the phone

    The pedometer application stopped working within 10 minutes of activation. I uninstall the application and bought myself a traditional pedometer to connect to my iPod arm band.
