A workout app, whether you believe in zombies or not

Zombies, Run is the most successful fitness app so far, and here's its first spin-off, prequel, you name it, with the only goal to prepare you to run 5 kilometers (3 miles). It's thought that if you're able to run such a distance in a reasonable time, your chances of surviving the first day of a zombie outbreak raise 32%, which seems a good reason to be fit unless you prefer to be food (best pun today!). It also helps your heart and lungs.

Either way, this app is designed for even those who haven't ever run a mile, yes, you who ride the car to go to the grocery next block. And it's really fun. Give it a go, and give a go to yourself by the way.

Once you are a little bit more prepared, run to Zombies Run!

You’re Runner 5, a vital member of one of the last outposts of humanity at Abel Township. During 25 workouts, you’ll be trained to help find supplies and protect the town from the ever-encroaching horde of the shambling dead, in a story written by award-winning novelist Naomi Alderman. You’ll learn about the characters, and you’ll have a vital mission of your own to train for and complete. Once your training is complete, you’ll be in the perfect place to continue the story as the hero in “Zombies, Run!”

Everything about Zombies, Run! 5k Training is designed for beginner runners: clear and detailed workout instructions, a gentle learning curve, and importantly, we don’t make any zombies chase you until you’re ready!

Choose your own custom music playlists before you start running: the story unfolds in during your tracks through a series of dynamic radio messages and voice recordings.

We integrate fully with our free online ZombieLink service, so you can check your running stats and view and share your maps online, all in a beautiful and easy-to-use interface! Plus you can export your runs to Runkeeper via ZombieLink.

Zombies, Run! 5k Training takes place between Mission 1 and Mission 2 of Season 1, so it’s a fantastic way to experience 24 all-new missions about how Runner 5 first trained up with Sam, Doctor Myers, and the rest of Abel Township to become a valued Runner. (But if you’re looking to find out what happens after Zombies, Run!’s epic cliffhanger, you’ll need to wait for Season 2...)

For the first time ever, I don't hate running! Echoing others in that it'd be nice to have the ability to listen to Spotify or Google Music, but for eight weeks I can deal with being limited to the music I've got saved to a hard drive.

Made me a better runner because they make you WANT to follow the progress of the narrative. The full Zombies Run is even better! But start here if you don't run yet. This is the prequel to the full game. :)

If you remember the old radio dramas, and you are looking for a couch-to-5k app, you will love this. Plays your music, and the characters cut in (dimming the music) to give you instructions, encouragement, or to just say something witty. You will meet several characters while training to run your first 5k! Each week is a new interval training routine, getting progressively harder, and reminding yo

I really wish they would let you use a third party app for music... that is my one and only complaint though. It's otherwise a great app.

Very fun and exciting it played with my playlist perfectly clear and hear the run clearly or walk slow, I had issues detecting steps but I noticed is under settings to detecting steps different ways. I can't wait finished to start newer one after 8 weeks. It did give me great workout for 34 minutes.l wish to see the zumbie and get guns to kill after mission the talking on radio is boring.
