No matter your complexion, UV rays have an immense impact on the health of your skin. Stay on top of current conditions using AustraliaUV, an ad-free app reporting conditions from around Australia. Select your city and see how strong the UV rays really are!

AustraliaUV provides you with an easy-to-interpret number and graphic as well as suggestions on how best to protect your skin. The app also provides an all-Australia UV forecast, skin cancer resources and a way to easily email the app developer. Current weather conditions can be accessed with just a tap.

Available cities are Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Kingston, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, Sydney and Townsville.

This app requires the following permissions:
-android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Reason: To detect whether an active internet connection exists.
-android.permission.INTERNET
Reason: To access UV index data from the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency.

    Text and maps show different uvindex ie : in Brisbane text says 6 !!! (In december) and map 14.

    Samsung galaxy III, app doesn't display picture only written words under black box. Uninstalled and tried again. No luck.
