Companion uses sophisticated artificial intelligence algorithms to detect physical activities and to record your lifelog automatically in the background. This enables new context dependent features such as intelligent reminders and personalised tips for your health and exercise. Our goal is to deliver better insights into individual behaviour that can lead to better health and fitness.

By using the sensors and GPS of your phone, the battery can be drained more than usual. We recommend nightly charging. Battery consumption will be optimised further in future versions.

Life logging the easy way: COMPANION tells you how much you move and HOW you move. It "knows" the difference between walking, running, cycling and riding in a vehicle. It can even detect standing and sitting. COMPANION counts your steps and gives you an easy way to see statistics of daily, weekly or monthly activities and moves. And because COMPANION knows HOW you move, it can calculate burned calories much better and more accurate than any other app or wearable device such as Fitbit or Fuelband. Just keep the smartphone in your pants pocket and COMPANION automatically records your life in a digital diary.

We do not collect any user data with this app. Your data is strictly confidential and remains only on your personal device.

    I have a battery saver on my phone so it doesn't accurately count my steps. I'm not burning up my battery to do that so it loses most of my steps in the house.

    I'm trying it out to see if I can replace Moves since Moves has gotten worse. It would be great if this app can also receive data from other trackers, like Fitbit trackers. Bicycling tracking not accurate, classifies it as driving or running.

    I was really wanting this 1 but not 1 single thing worked, no matter what I did it would say I was doing something else. worst app I've ever tried, I'm on Xperia e phone. If it ever works I will download again as good concept.

    1. Have an option in the settings to determine the speed of running and bike riding. 14km/h for bike riding is slow....and reads my running as bike riding......2. Have a one touch button when you're going for a run so to make the GPS to full settings for running accuracy.......3. Display detailed running stats ie.speed,pace,elevation etc.........this can be the best overall fitness app if you make

    Bike feature doesn't work. It registers activity as transportation and the distance is way off. One mile registered as .15. GPS was on and it was in my pocket just like the instructions said.
