"Meditation on the move"

Reviewed by / Nov 21, 2013

Forget the yogi on the mountain. Headspace gives you a huge variety of tools for achieving serenity here and now.

Access guided daily meditations developed especially for the app, plus scientific data and progress reports as regards your calm and clarity. You can download the meditations in advance if you're anticipating being away from WiFi coverage. "Mindfulness buzzers" come in the form of occasional push notifications that alert you to check in with number one.

Headspace enjoys an exclusive contract with the Royal Parks Foundation, which includes a unique walking meditation podcast.

Trying out basic functionality of the app is free for ten days, then it costs €11.95 on a month-by-month basis. Alternatively, you can throw down €395.95 just once for access forever. Money may not be able to buy happiness, but perhaps an empty wallet can be equated to an empty mind.

Headspace is a slick relaxation app that's pretty interesting to use for ten days - you'll have to decide for yourself if inner peace is worth the hefty price tag.

Could not get past the initial advertising video which played on loop when trying to access the meditation. Unfortunately the update did not fix the problem for me.

Good idea. However sneak peek into pro version would be useful. Too expensive to buy pig in a bag.

I thought this was free but after 10 x 10 min sessions they want you to commit to around £6 a month FOR A YEAR.
