Petometer allows you to keep track your walks with your dog
Long walks with your dog are good for both: it keeps both of you fit and strengthen your emotional link. However, walking through the same places everyday gets boring and doesn't help you to improve your physical condition if you go always the same length. Petometer turns your mere daily walks with your dog into workout.
Petometer allows you to keep track of different routes, distances, pace, history log and calendar. It uses GPS and geo-location to draw the route on a map (it uses Google Maps). You can check them whenever you want to see distance, pace and the other parameters. What's more, you can even repeat that route and check if you're able to beat time and distance. A good exercise for both.
One of the features we like most is "recommended exercises" where you can find some tips to train your dog and make him grow healthy. Petometer allows you to create a profile for your dog with his/her name and even upload and avatar. Do you have more than one dog? No worries, you can add different pet profiles (up to 6). Finally, Petometer allows you to sync walk reminders with your phone's calendar and share your walk with a customized post to Facebook.
In a few words, Petometer (powered by Purina) is a good tool to train and keep your dog and yourself healthy. It has some catches that should be fixed: first, it always requires reboot the app when you launch it, second, we've noticed some force closes on a Galaxy Tab. Despite of this, good app.
The Petometer will definitely have you and your dog wagging your tails!

crashes before it opens
This seems like such a cool app, but crashed before I could even register. It's really to bad because they also make this app for iPhone, and apparently that one works great. It's a shame that these companies obviously still don't care about Android. Last update was apparently 2011.
Got as fat as putting in my pets name and it stops working and closes
