God gave a vision to Pastor Rusty Freeman and a small group of Christians in Johnstown, Ohio. The vision was to establish a biblical, contemporary, relevant, and embracing church in the heart of Central Ohio. The early beginnings of Faith Fellowship saw the group meeting in homes, in the Johnstown Church of Christ and Searfoss Elementary School in Johnstown. Administrative Offices were provided by the Staneart Family in the building that had formally housed the "Short Stop" in Johnstown.
Faith Fellowship is saddened by the passing of Faith Fellowship's founding Pastor Rusty Freeman and will go through a succession of "interim" pastoral leadership. Also during this time period... Faith Fellowship will move to the Auditeria of Northridge High School for Sunday morning services. Land was purchased at the corner of St. Rt. 62 East and Nichols Lane outside of Johnstown for the possibility of building a church facility in the future.
In mid-2005, Pastor Dan McLaughlin began as "interim" pastor.
Pastor Dan McLaughlin accepted the full time pastoral position at Faith Fellowship and began his role on August 1st. Under the leadership of Polly Staneart and Paul Creager, renovation and construction was begun on new Administrative Offices in the former "Ben Franklin" building in Johnstown. The Church was still meeting on Sundays at Northridge High School.
Completion of the new Administrative Offices was realized in late 2007. This year, we also experienced explosive growth with a number of new people coming to and also joining the ministry direction of Faith Fellowship!
We are Celebrating our 7th Year of Ministry!
At our weekend services, we are seeing an "always growing" number of men, women and children. God continues to work and speak in and through Faith Fellowship. And we corporately desire to hear His voice and take the next challenge He lays before us. -No matter what it takes!
