The award-winning hit TV show, Breaking Bad, portrays the story of Walter White (played by Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with advanced lung cancer at the beginning of the series. With very little options for recovery, Walt turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (played by Aaron Paul), with the aim of securing his family’s financial future before he dies.
The show, now in its fifth season, has gained a tremendous following and has been critically acclaimed for its unique story line and character development. One of the reasons for its popularity is the fact that the main character, Walt, does not look or act like a typical drug dealer: he’s not a part of a gang; he looks like he’s in his mid-50′s; he’s never had a history of crime; and to top it all of he’s a chemistry teacher at a high school.
