Lucid dreaming: it's when you suddenly realize that you are dreaming … and then sustain that wide-awake clarity while in the dream state. For millennia, lucid dreaming has been used by ordinary people and advanced meditators for practical insights, self-discovery, and delving into the architecture of reality itself. With the Induce Lucid Dreaming app, the pioneer of scientific lucid-dream research offers two guided sessions, one to play in the daytime and one to play at night before sleep. These are the same conditioning programs used to help train hundreds of "oneironauts" (volunteer lucid-dream subjects) at Stanford University and the Lucidity Institute.
The Induce Lucid Dreaming app features:
- Two guided lucid dream induction sessions (38 minutes of audio)
- A relaxing slide show
- An interactive vine garden to enjoy while listening (for tablets only)
- Bookmarking to help you easily find your favorite content
- A Good Minute—video selections that offer concentrated wisdom to inspire you anytime
About the Author
Stephen LaBerge laid the groundwork for his pioneering breakthroughs in lucid dreaming research over two decades ago while obtaining his PhD in psychophysiology at Stanford University. Since then he has been continuing work at Stanford studying lucid dreaming and psychophysiological correlates of states of consciousness. In 1988, acting on his conviction that lucid dreaming offers many benefits to humanity, Dr. LaBerge founded the Lucidity Institute, the mission of which is to advance research on the nature and potentials of consciousness and to apply the results of this research to the enhancement of human health and well-being.
