Connect to your Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Protect smoke and carbon monoxide alarm from one place - the Nest app on your Android device. You can adjust the temperature on your Nest Thermostat from anywhere and get notifications for important events, like Heads-Up and Emergency Alarm.

Permissions: ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, CHANGE_WIFI_STATE are used to set up a Nest Protect.
CAMERA is used for scanning the QR code to set up a Nest Protect.
READ_PHONE_STATE is used to determine if your Android device is capable of making phone calls during an emergency event.

    Current version will not connect to Nest. Each time I open the app it just keeps "loading" without connection. Previous version was fine.

    If you hide your ssid, be prepared to reset your network setting once a while on the nest..

    App is great. However, I think this app is the perfect candidate for a widget. A widget where its a small icon of the thermostat. Orange for currently heating, blue for currently cooling. Grey for doing nothing. That would be sweeet

    Works great. Responsive. Does what it does. Wish I could turn the fan on when the system is off and the run the fan so long every hour feature, that would be great.

    I've even been known to change the temp from the phone in the bathroom when I find it too warm! This app does everything I need it to do without getting up a gazillion times to monkey around with the actual thermostat. Last summer, I was constantly leaving my room at night to change the temp during the summer to save on fuel costs, but now I can do it right from my phone (or iPad). Very well de

    I like the nest thermostat, however the app needs work. It's very annoying to have to pull out the sidebar every time to do something. . It's also inconsistent in the ability to show the remaining time.
