Ping4alerts! is the free hyperlocal mobile alerts app for instantly notifying you of dangers and emergencies wherever you are in the world. Public safety alerts and other valuable information is delivered to your Android device based on your location and the categories of information you opt-in to receive. The closest it has my location is always at least 5 miles away. It shows warnings for areas at least 15 miles west, but not here. The alerts are always 5-10 minutes after others I get. I like the format and viewing, just don't count on for serious weat

Didn't heed the other reviews. Drained my battery drastically. Uninstalled during first day of use. Went back to using local channel app for weather alerts.

This app uses way too much battery. 46%! No wonder my phone keeps dying in the middle of the day!

I have not received any alerts during any storms. Nor when a section if 24 was closed due to an accident, which I was stuck in the traffic.
