Vera Alerts provides notification of events that were originated from your Vera Home Automation system and delivered to your Android phone. These notification can also specify 1 of 5 alert tones to be played on your phone when the notification is delivered. Or it can have the message spoken using the locally installed Android Text To Speech, TTS, engine on your phone.
Vera Alerts also maintains a database of these notification events so that you can review their history. It provides various tools to display these events and also to manage the lifetime of the stored data.
In addition to the text message and the alert tone, a notification event can include additional data with the message such as displayed background and foreground colors of the displayed messages, and other meta tags that can be used to convey information such as the user that initiated the event.
The original author was Richard Green. Improvements have been made by Richard Schaefer and Pieter Buts.

This is really slick. I get instant real time alerts and a mobile log. Any old android device on Wi-Fi can be a mobile event announcer. Really nice. Free and no ads puts it into five stars easy.

Quick response from my scenes. Like the simple easy to use layout. Wish you could sort by date time vs alert name grouping. update: now groups notification. THANK YOU. This is great app.

Works great for me on my Vera lite. Only part of the setup that I got stuck on for a few mins was that I didn't realize that I had to hit the register button in the app to start receiving alerts from Vera. Much better then the Vera email notifications!

Much better than text and email alerts......however I wish the latest event for each section were in bold or colored.
