"Much more than a simple alarm clock"

Reviewed by / Jan 17, 2012

WakeVoice is an alarm clock with added-value guaranteed by a pack of interesting features

This is the paid version of WakeVoice which has no restrictions on ring-times (+10) and alarms.

Yes, the mission of an alarm clock is wake us up. However, the way how they do it matters. WakeVoice has come with extra-features to help you out with the difficult issue of waking up every morning and get sharp to work.

Besides the classic alarm clock features: list a personalized alarm, daily, weekly, meeting advices, alarm tones, snooze, delay and repetition, WakeVoice wanted to offer some interesting added-value features.

First off, regarding voice. It supports both, voice recognition and Speech-to-Text (TTS). Voice recognition allows you to record your own voice as a way to stop the alarm, snooze or postpone. Speech-to-Text allows the app to read some info that you will get every morning if you set it.

That info can be the horoscope, news (even RSS imported), google calendar or even your city weather. This way, you can wake up in the right way, knowing what happened while you were sleeping or guessing what's expected to happen. You can even choose the language you want this info to be displayed.

What's more, you can set lot of performance details: phone buttons behaviour, set dock mode or night mode as screensaver, set volumes, repetition time... among others.

The interface is sober but attractive. Sincerely, one of the best alarm clocks we've reviewed so far regarding features and customization. Sleepers, it's time to wake up.

Summary :
Much more than a simple alarm clock, WakeVoice lets you interact with your phone using your voice:
- Talk to it with custom commands to stop the alarm or activate the snooze option
- Listen to your phone telling you about the weather, news of your choice or a personalized message while staying warm in your bed

Details :
Waking up is not an easy thing for you? You have never found the alarm clock you needed?
Why not try WakeVoice!

WakeVoice can overcome the negative aspect associated to regular alarm clocks, making your morning funnier and less difficult.

The idea is simple: when the alarm rings, you just have to talk to WakeVoice to stop the alarm or activate the reminder.

But that's not all!
Once the ringing stopped, it's your phone's turn to talk to you.
Customizable messages, weather of the day, news of your choice (RSS)... choose what you want to hear.

Add to that all the settings imaginable on a clock (programming various alarms over several days, setting names, volume, times...) and you get WakeVoice, the most innovative alarm clock that you can find on the Android market.

So now, with WakeVoice, you won't be angry anymore when you'll be waking up :)

Warnings :
- If you have a Sony Xperia device with Stamina mode enabled, please allow WakeVoice in the whitelist of the Stamina mode otherwise it will prevent alarms to ring
- Don't force app2sd with WakeVoice. It's not recommended by Google for an alarm clock app. Furthermore, you'll have issues with Play Store updates.

Works great except for the test to speech. I keep getting a message saying that it's unreachable on my Evo and/or Epic. Wrote developer but haven't received help.

Since updated this has been terrible hardly works such a shame because it has so much potential. I will sadly need to uninstall soon because it's just not doing what it's designed to do and this has been happening for about a year since the last update that was meant to resolve everything it states weather data can not be accessed and even though I can see the weather data and other data it no lon

I wanted an app that read out the weather, calendar, and email subjects when it was time to leave for work. It. Doesn't do email. Fine, I can cope with that. Weather rarely loads even if I wait 5 minutes. The calendar gets the time wrong for all events for half the year as I am in a time zone that does not do daylight savings. I have changed the time zone settings and nothing helped. Recurring eve

Dev sent me an older apk that works! That's Great support! Things weren't going well for my Samsung S5.  The version in the Play Store will not play TTS calendar or weather, with delay set to 15 sec (longer delays are supposed to be better, 15 sec is longest available). Settings TTS test was OK while alarm was playing. Alarm would not turn off with Snooze or Dismiss. Alarm had to be disabled to
