"Memory! Turn your face to the moonlight!"

Chronicle your days one second at a time and compile them into quick-hit videos of the years

How many days from the past year were really memorable? Do you ever get the sense that they're all passing you by in a squalid rush of watching television in your underwear covered in Doritos dust? The idea behind the crowdfunded 1 Second Everyday app is simple: once you start keeping track of each day's highlights in one second intervals, you'll be inspired to put on pants, go outside, and do things worth recording.

The app consists of a calendar that organizes your video files by date. Select the standout clip from each day and the key representative second from each clip. That's right, just one second - no need for post-production here. Over time as you select more and more clips, your compilation will grow - after a year's gone by, you'll have what should be a fascinating retrospective of the past 365 days (or, if you never left your parents' basement, it'll be a constant stream of computer glare).

It's easy to export and share the compiled video if you like, or you can choose to keep it for yourself. You can also choose to have multiple timelines, so one could be more personal and another destined for spreading across social media, if you like.

The app is free to try for the first 30 days, then it requests a one-time payment of $0.99 - pretty reasonable if you like the concept after a month.

Touch Lab Inc's 1 Second Everyday is an original and well-executed concept - give it a whirl and see if it changes what you do with your day-to-day.

For over 3 years now, I've been recording 1 second every day, so I'll never forget another day ever again. This project has had such a profoundly positive impact on my life, that I've passionately developed an App that will make it extraordinarily easy for anyone to do this too.

Reliving every single day of my life at age 30 in 6 minutes has provided me with a treasured perspective on life. It holds me accountable for making each day count.

When I turn 40, I'll have a 1 hour compilation that encapsulates my 30s. If I live to see 80 years of age, I'll have a 5-hour video that summarizes 50 years of my life.

Features:

+ The App accesses any videos recorded on your phone & sorts them by date. You can also record your moment directly from the App.

+ Setup friendly reminders so you never forget a day!

+ Keep multiple timelines! You could have one for yourself… for each of your kids… your dinner… what you wear every day… etc! Looking forward to endless creative interpretations!

+ Backup your seconds with Google Drive!

+ Compile any given amount of time desired—the last month, year, or just select a start and end date.

+ Post your compilations directly to your social networks.

+ Your seconds are privately held on your phone. You never have to share this with anyone if you don't want to. The primary purpose of this App is to help you remember your own life. Sharing is optional.

Was an awesome 5 star app, but broken by Lollipop. Hope developer can fix issues in time for the new year! The orange/yellow slider isn't working properly any more on Android 5.0. The clipped video is not the clip that was expected, there are also sometimes minor issues with video playback. Although it is still possible to crop 1 second moments, using the orange/yellow slider is pointless as the

I've have this on my Galaxy S5 and I've gotten it on my previous iPhone and I've gotta say, it works perfect for me! No complaints here. Such an awesome way to record a yearly collab of your life a second a day!

Video editor buggy and does not always allow use of the back/forward buttons. Also issues playing the one second clip. It used to work! I know its not your fault that Android was updated but would be good if fixed.

I have a video that I accidentally took in portrait (but the image is in landscape), I edited it on my phone and now it is only coming up as today's video. Please add functionality to either edit the video on the page or upload of video!! Otherwise love the app.

I had that red-band notification saying that "Clipping for .... has failed" Although the thumbnails seem to show on the main page but I tried mash it up. The video is 00:00:00. ALSO, TERRIBLE AFTER-SALE SERVICES! NO REPLY AT ALL!
