Like techie tools to make your sleep more effective? LeKuSoft's Deep Sleep app offers sixteen different loops of relaxing sounds designed to help lull you into an ultra-restful state.
Select at least one and up to four different looping sounds to play for 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes as you lay your head upon the pillow. Layering the sounds over each other can produce some intriguing effects - "creek" plus "fire" can have you imagining a peaceful riverside campsite. If you'd like to induce nightmares, may I recommend "clock" plus "heartbeat" plus "children"?
The app interface is on the ugly side, but if you use it as directed, you won't be looking at it for long. Some of the sound clips skip slightly upon looping, which is disconcerting when you are trying to zonk out.
LeKuSoft's Deep Sleep is fun to play around with, but the skipping problem might keep it from being an effective sleep aid.
