This the fully re-built MyPOD it's currently in Beta, so we are still ironing out some kinks (they are coming out by the day) ...

MyPOD is a media browser - it finds media in Podcasts and Blogs and makes it all available for you to play. MyPOD aims to fill in the gaps by combing powerful feed and web-browsing capabilities, cross-device management and syncing we want to be the best free podcasting app on the market - so let us know how we are doing !!!

Podcasting has lots great content & diversity, and we want to bring it to you, we have put together curated lists in all the main genres of podcasting, and also a few other specialist areas. Curated network lists have everything from the most popular podcasters on the planet. MyPOD also has an open catalogue, also iTunes podcast and YouTube channel search.

PERMISSIONS USED:
android.permission.INTERNET : Basic internet usage (download feeds & files)
android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE : Determine if network is available
android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE : Determine if wifi is available
android.permission.BATTERY_STATS : Determine if power is connected
android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE : Determine is a call is received so player can be paused automatically during a phone call. Also for generating/checking unlock key info (IMEI number)
android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED : Start services when phone starts
android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE : Write to SD Card (for podcast file storage)
android.permission.WAKE_LOCK : To keep the internet connection alive while downloading.
android.permission.BLUETOOTH : for bluetooth

If you don't like it - don't use it, there are other podcatchers available on android market such as Beyond Pod, DoggCatcher, PodTrapper, Listen, Hapi Podcast, pocketcasts, pocket cast, one cast, IPP podcast player, rat poison, upod etc. MyPOD is a power user app.

    I used to think it wasn't possible to have a worse interface for an app than version 1 of mypod. But I was wrong! This interface is much more confusing. Don't think slapping "for power users" is a get of jail free card for making an application clean and functional. I am a power user and used the old version for 18 months. This interface is bad. Also the Web remote interface is constantly giving

    This program was good but unstable in version 1. Version 2 is solid, and I really appreciate the effort and dedication the developer has put into it. Try it!

    Really love the new interface and playlists. Youtube search is awesome. I can play youtube videos in the background. This app really does everything..

    Bought the app years ago for the potential but ended up uninstalling. Just now decided to give it a second chance. It's still functionally an above average pod catcher. I would focus all current development on creating a better user experience and UI. Two words: Material Design.

    I can't stand the new user interface- I find it busy (cluttered) and confusing. I'm still using the old version, despite being pretty buggy, because I can't stand the new one. I've been a loyal user of the old Mypod for years, and paid for the pro version, but sadly I will soon be looking for an alternative app. If you could simplify the new UI, or find a way to make it more similar to the old o
