This Oxford Handbook of Anaesthesia, Third Edition is developed by MedHand Mobile Libraries.

The bestselling Oxford Handbook of Anaesthesia has been completely updated for this new third edition. All chapters have been rewritten and a number of new authors have been brought on board to add their expertise and knowledge.

Additional new material includes regional anaesthesia, and a comprehensive section on anaesthesia for interventional radiology, a rapidly expanding field of medical practice with particular implications for anaesthesia.

•The only truly concise yet comprehensive guide to anaesthetic practice
•Provides practical guidelines for all anaesthetists, from junior to consultant level
•Includes detailed paediatric and obstetric sections with coverage of how anaesthesia practice should be modified when dealing with these particular groups
•Includes useful appendices - a checklist of anaesthetic apparatus, an extensive drug formulary, and a list of normal values

Key sections cover preoperative issues affecting the administration of anaesthesia and techniques employed in the individual surgical specialties. The book provides practical advice covering the impact of medical disease on anaesthesia, and separate comprehensive sections on paediatric and obstetric anaesthesia are also included.

The management of emergencies arising during anaesthesia is fully covered with helpful action plans and algorithms throughout. Uncommon conditions and their management are included, and there is an extensive drug formulary and guide to infusion drugs.

As with the previous editions, this new edition will be the essential handbook for anaesthetists, both junior and experienced, for trainees sitting exams, as well as ODPs and nurses involved in theatre area work and pre-assessment. It is the one book for anyone working in anaesthesia to keep to hand at all times!

Readership: Junior and consultant anaesthetists, registrars in anaesthesia, critical care and pain management and those sitting the FRCA examinations. Operating department personnel and nurses involved in theatre area work and pre-assessment.

Authors: Keith Allman and Iain Wilson

A poor iOS port by lazy developers. That UI. Come on you can do better with a Android native design.

I agree with others' descriptions. This app has loads of potential. I also own it on iOS, hence spending ~£60 on apps, and this is far inferior to the iPhone / iPad versions. The pinching to zoom is an urgent update, and the table navigation is next to useless. I love this book, please fix your app.

This is a great book, but the app still feels very mediocre. The two BIG features this app needs are a pinch-to-zoom function, and an option to disable the swipe right / left to move in the navigation. Navigating the many very helpful tables in the book is so frustrating when you can only see a tiny part of it, and when you keep jumping in the navigation accidentally when scrolling. Everytime th

The previous comment of B J So, says it all. It has a major bug while scrolling horizontally trough tables and figures. Urgent correction is needed for such an expensive app!

The latest update means it takes forever and a day to open up and work! It used to work fine though. Please sort this.

Why does this app need intrusive permissions like taking pictures and videos. Other book apps don't need such intrusive permissions. Will be buying medical books from google books and Kindle app from now on as they don't have intrusive permissions and are often cheaper! With time this app is needing more and more intrusive permissions. Really irritating when developers start needing intrusive perm

Very mobile to have this. Still needs lots of adjustment from reading the hardcopy book.
