Chronicle your days one second at a time and compile them into quick-hit videos of the years
How many days from the past year were really memorable? Do you ever get the sense that they're all passing you by in a squalid rush of watching television in your underwear covered in Doritos dust? The idea behind the crowdfunded 1 Second Everyday app is simple: once you start keeping track of each day's highlights in one second intervals, you'll be inspired to put on pants, go outside, and do things worth recording.
The app consists of a calendar that organizes your video files by date. Select the standout clip from each day and the key representative second from each clip. That's right, just one second - no need for post-production here. Over time as you select more and more clips, your compilation will grow - after a year's gone by, you'll have what should be a fascinating retrospective of the past 365 days (or, if you never left your parents' basement, it'll be a constant stream of computer glare).
It's easy to export and share the compiled video if you like, or you can choose to keep it for yourself. You can also choose to have multiple timelines, so one could be more personal and another destined for spreading across social media, if you like.
The app is free to try for the first 30 days, then it requests a one-time payment of $0.99 - pretty reasonable if you like the concept after a month.
Touch Lab Inc's 1 Second Everyday is an original and well-executed concept - give it a whirl and see if it changes what you do with your day-to-day.
FEATURED on: Fast Company, MASHABLE, CNN, TED, BBC, & many more.
We believe in try before you buy. The App is FREE for 30 days. If you like your experience, it's only $0.99 to continue :)
For over 2 years now, I've been recording 1 second every day, so I'll never forget another day ever again. This project has had such a profoundly positive impact on my life, that I've passionately developed an App that will make it extraordinarily easy for anyone to do this too.
Reliving every single day of my life at age 30 in 6 minutes has provided me with a treasured perspective on life. It holds me accountable for making each day count.
When I turn 40, I'll have a 1 hour compilation that encapsulates my 30s. If I live to see 80 years of age, I'll have a 5-hour video that summarizes 50 years of my life.
+ The App accesses any videos recorded on your phone & sorts them by date. You can also record your moment directly from the App.
+ Setup friendly reminders so you never forget a day!
+ Keep multiple timelines! You could have one for yourself… for each of your kids… your dinner… what you wear every day… etc! Looking forward to endless creative interpretations!
+ Backup your seconds with Google Drive!
+ Compile any given amount of time desired—the last month, year, or just select a start and end date.
+ Post your compilations directly to your social networks.
+ Your seconds are privately held on your phone. You never have to share this with anyone if you don't want to. The primary purpose of this App is to help you remember your own life. Sharing is optional.

Great way to remember
Had to uninstall the app, now I have to buy it again???
Well worth the money! Inspires you to do something interesting every day. Great way to reflect on your year :-)
Great idea! And the app itself leaves nothing to be desired. The only snag is that the reminders stopped working after I rooted the phone but it's still 5 stars.
Pleas fix: Syncing way too often. Every time I look at my phone the "syncing with Google drive" text comes up. Maybe only sync when I have the app open? Thanks.
Great concept :-)
