I bet it happened to you: after switching the ringer to silent, you started a game, a music player or any other media source and your Android started to sound loudly, embarrassing you. That's because putting the ringer to silent doesn't mean to silent the media volume too (they are independent). Well, until RealSilent burst the scene.
RealSilent ends up with this issue. It allows you to mute on silent mode, as well as vibrate or restore media volume to what it was before going to silent/vibrate. Just in case you were worried about it: no, it doesn't change the alarm volume.

This app will NOT change the alarm volume. It only makes sense, and if you want the alarm volume to be silent when the phone is silent, please do so on your preferred alarm application, most let you change this setting.

CM10.1 for i777 (the latest nightlies) has been driving me crazy since media sounds continue to play through the speakers despite having the phone set to silent or vibrate. Notifications and phone calls responded appropriately but only games, videos, etc

I see that this works only on the media volume. Could you add alarm silence or create another all to silence the alarm. I don't need my alarms going off in meeting, just a vibrate will do.
