For best integration with your car stereo- use GROM hardware interface and get digital clear sound, charge and full control from the factory radio.

With GROM interface the operation is simple:
1. Disk 1 is a On-The-Go playlist. Disk 2 is the first playlist, Disk 3 is second and so on
2. Only music indexed by AALinQ will be played
3. Titles and cover art displayed in player in portrait in and landscape mode
4. Full control from either AALinQ or GROM. Player stays n sync with stereo all the time

Troubleshooting when used with GROM interface:
1. Make sure you have latest firmware installed from http://gromaudio.com/software-usb2.html
2. On older phones (2.3.x) to operate you will need to turn USB Debugging option ON (Settings->Application->Development), follow suggestions from AALinQ
3. Submit support ticket if nothing helps http://gromaudio.com/support.html

Note: AALinQ works best with GROM-USB2P, GROM-AND2 or GROM-MST3 module installed in your vehicle.
Note: GROM-USB2P and GROM-MST3 must be updated to the latest firmware for all features to work

WRITE_SETTINGS - changes in Media DB for non ASCII characters support
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - cover art extraction
INTERNET - GROM connection and cover art update

Worked fine up until the latest update. Now it shaves 2-3 seconds off the end of each song. Please fix!

The user interface for this player is well thought out. I really wanted it to work but it is broken in so many ways: - Does not detect changes in files, even when you rescan. - Even after a data purge it immediately started getting confused again. - Displays the wrong album cover, even though the mp3s are correct. - Very narrow file type support and likes to skip valid songs other players play fla

#1 Groms interface is as promised. But This is a poorly made app that has the functionality of a travel coffee without a top. It merely functions with phone storage, but not the SD card where I put my media. It has not controlled my phone as thought and I have wasted much more than a couple of hours trying to do so. Get this app out of the playstore before some else spends their time diddling away

Save yourself the headache, time and money... The install of the GROM unit itself is simple but can be time consuming if you don't want cables strewn about your car. The AALINQ interface is big and easy to use BUT like most everyone elses experience is glitchy. Using a Nexus 5 w/ Android 4.4.4 the audio output volume is ridiculously low (has only matched the car stereo's volume once), constantl

I installed this the other day and my battery life gone crap, my phone overheating while doing nothing. It uses 10% in 10mins and my phone heat up like an oven. Uninstalled and now my phone back to normal.
